World-renowned for its white-sand beaches, high-end resorts, and round-the-clock party scene, Cabo San Lucas is the perfect spot for a bachelorette weekend. Rated one of Mexico’s top-5 tourist destinations, Cabo has warm weather all year long and an endless array of activities for all of your friends, whether they like the outdoors, shopping, or indulging in some of the world’s best tequila. All you need is an itinerary to get you started on your bachelorette party adventure.

Is It Safe to Travel to Cabo San Lucas?

First, we need to address the elephant in the room: travel safety.

While some parts of Mexico (especially along the U.S. border) have heightened travel advisories in effect, there are currently no travel restrictions or warnings in place for Cabo San Lucas. As a resort city with an economy dependent on tourism, Cabo goes to great lengths to promote a safe, fun atmosphere.

Just make sure to use common sense when getting around: travel in groups (especially at night), use only licensed taxis, and stick to the familiar resort areas.

What You’ll Need for Your Cabo Bachelorette Party Weekend

Before starting your bachelorette party weekend, you’ll need to gather a few essentials for you and all of your gal pals. You’ll also need to make some basic preparations to ensure that you have a place to stay and a table at all the best bars and restaurants.

Here’s a breakdown of things to gather and prepare:

  • - Passports

  • - Restaurant reservations

  • - A resort/hotel/villa booking

  • - Round-trip plane tickets

  • - Sunscreen

  • - Summer-appropriate clothing (year-round) with jackets/sweaters for the evening

  • - Credit cards and pesos

  • - Bachelorette party essentials (banners, wine, a sash, etc.)

Where to Stay

Cabo is home to some incredible beachside resorts and hotels. Because the destination is so popular year-round, these resorts can get extremely crowded. They can also become very pricey when you have a large group in need of multiple rooms.

Pro tip: Rather than staying at a crowded, costly resort, consider booking a private villa in Cabo San Lucas. When you divide up the cost among your group, you’re often saving money over hotels in the same area. Best of all, you and your girlfriends have a private luxury villa to yourselves. What better way to make the bachelorette party exclusive and unforgettable?
